Fat Pheasant was created to offer something simple but meaningful, time to slow down, breathe fresh air and reconnect with nature without giving up comfort. Our shepherd huts combine traditional charm with thoughtful modern touches. Each hut includes a king size bed, wood burning stove, en suite shower room and a fully equipped kitchenette, giving you everything you need for a cosy and comfortable stay.
Set within rolling farmland and open skies, the huts are surrounded by nature and working farm life. Guests are welcome to explore the public footpaths that run through the land, enjoy long countryside walks, or simply sit back and watch the changing light across the fields. The experience here is intentionally unhurried.
We also work closely with local suppliers and small businesses, from food hampers filled with farm produce to locally brewed drinks and homemade treats. Supporting the surrounding community is an important part of what we do.
