Secluded Dolly

Off-grid huts surrounded by nature

We know that life can get busy. Come and stay in our off-grid huts, in the middle of our 500 acre farm, with no people, roads or houses in sight. The perfect opportunity to switch off and reconnect. The huts are luxurious and the views are outstanding. Each hut has a king size bed, an en-suite shower room with flushing toilet and a wood burning stove. Cook your locally sourced food on your fire-pit then while the evening away in your private wood-fired hot tub.

April - October. Sleeps 2. You’re welcome to bring your own tent for children.
Friday check in. Min two night stay. £200 per night on Friday and Saturday night, £100 on Sunday night and £150 on weeknights.

The gorgeous Dolly is in it's own meadow in the middle of the farm. You'll have complete seclusion. There's a banquet table outside and lots of space to roam. It's a five minute drive down a stone track to the hut and you will be a hundred metre walk from your car. The interior is bright and airy with millennial pink tiles in the shower. There's a king size bed, en-suite showroom with flushing toilet, small kitchen and wood burning stove. Outside you'll find a gas BBQ, fire-pit, table, deck chairs and wood-fired hot tub.

As with Dolly, there's a king size bed, flushing toilet in an en-suite shower room in Huxley. You’ll also have and outdoor eating area with fire-pit and gas BBQ. There’s a beautiful outdoor free standing bath and a huge window above the bed to admire the view through.  The hut is a 5 minute drive down a stone farm track and you can park right outside.

The hut is located in what feels like the middle of nowhere in the quintessential countryside village yet still close enough that within 30mins you can be at some of the Cotswolds' favourite spots. Everything you need is in the hut along with some extra comforts. We loved the little touches.

We'll be back soon and can't recommend Fat Pheasants enough.

We had a wonderful time staying in Dolly at Fat Pheasant Shepherd Huts. It was perfect for two families - with four adults and three children. Having the whole meadow to ourselves was a real treat, really private and super safe for the kids. Jo is a great host with great attention to detail. We ordered a BBQ box and a few other bits which were wonderful in terms of quality and presentation, the whole set up is so nice- an instagrammers dream!

What a wonderful countryside retreat! We loved switching off and living the off-grid life with all the modern and luxe details of a boutique hotel.

There is so much to explore and the farm is the perfect bolt hole to make the most of getting outside. Dolly is completely secluded and private which is rare these days! A must is the food hampers which give you a real taste of the area where you are staying.

About us

The shepherd huts are run by Jo, with the help of her two year old son, Raffi. Jo grew up on the farm and wanted to share this wonderful place. Her brother, Tom, built the huts himself and Tom and her and parents still farm the land, so it’s a family business through and through. The farm is over 500 acres and mainly arable, with some renewable energy sources, but there's also lots of lovely animals to meet. We really hope you'll love the farm as much as we do.
